The ETSI Enjoy! Magazine issue of January 2023 publishes an article that celebrates the 10th Anniversary of the ETSI NFV Industry Specification Group.
The article provides an overview of the 10 years of activity of the ISG, highlighting the successful transition of R&D work of various industry stakeholders into creating formal standards to ensure multi-vendor interoperability. Today, NFV technology is being deployed around the world helping network operators, including NTT DOCOMO, to deliver more cost-efficient and shortened time-to-market telecommunication services to customers. DOCOMO Euro-Labs members have been actively contributing to ETSI NFV since its inception 10 years ago.
The article is co-authored by Joan Triay, Manager at DOCOMO Euro-labs and former ETSI NFV Technical Manager, with Yoshihiro Nakajima (NTT DOCOMO, Chair of ETSI NFV), Bruno Chatras and Diego Lopez (Orange and Telefonica, respectively, former Chairs of ETSI NFV).
