After graduating from Middle East Technical University as an Electrical and Electronics Engineer in 2012, I started to work as a system design engineer in a large-scale defense company “ASELSAN” in Ankara, Türkiye. I completed my master’s studies at the same university on service policy optimization of mobile communication terminals. Meanwhile, I was working on different R&D projects at ASELSAN on satellite communication systems, antenna design for ground terminals, 5G systems and in-house communication systems at naval platforms etc. After 7 years of hard work as an expert system design engineer, I decided to focus on the standardization of next generation mobile communication networks. I continued research and standardization activities at Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute in Berlin, Germany contributing to the 3GPP radio access network and system architecture groups. I had the chance to work closely with many invaluable researchers all over the world.
Since joining NTT DOCOMO Euro-labs, I have been working on the enhancements of the next generation core network in close collaboration with internal and external partners. Currently, I am an active delegate representing NTT DOCOMO at 3GPP System Architecture (SA2) standardization meetings.
