ETSI and WWRF signed cooperation deal
A memorandum of understanding has been agreed and approved by the ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards Institute) Board and the Steering Board of WWRF, and was signed at the ETSI General Assembly.
The agreement covers exchange of information and participation in meetings, and while initially focussed on ETSI’s work on RRS (reconfigurable radio systems), will be extended to cover other key technology areas of interest to both organizations, including the new E2NA (Enhancing ETSI Network Activities) project.
WWRF has the aim of easing the transition between research results and effective industry standards, by sharing its vision and technology roadmaps with key standards development organizations, and this agreement with ETSI is a an important step towards this goal, commented Nigel Jefferies, Chairman of WWRF.
