The 3GPP System Architecture (SA) plenary meeting held in Prague on 10-13 June approved the Study on “Architecture for 6G System” that will be conducted by SA Working Group 2.
The study item, to be completed the latest by March 2027, aims to define a system architecture for 6G mobile networks for improvement of existing services and support of new services.
We are proud to announce that the SA plenary appointed Malla Reddy Sama, manager of the 3GPP at DOCOMO Euro-Labs, as rapporteur of the study item. Malla will be backed in his challenging task by NTT DOCOMO and the 3GPP delegation of DOCOMO Euro-Labs, the center of excellence of NTT DOCOMO for Network Architecture Standardization.
NTT DOCOMO and DOCOMO Euro-Labs are committed to design the 6G System to serve as a common platform for service providers to scale globally and help sustainable service innovation.
